4.5. Image Upload and Processing License
By uploading images to WhatIsThisTool.com, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- Limited Processing License: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, analyze, and temporarily store your uploaded images solely for the purpose of providing tool identification services.
- Temporary Storage: Uploaded images are temporarily stored in memory during processing and are immediately deleted after the identification result is returned (typically within 10-30 seconds). We do not permanently store your uploaded images on our servers.
- Performance Cache: In some cases, identification results (not the actual images) may be cached for up to 30 days to improve service performance through our perceptual hash deduplication system. Cached results are anonymized and cannot be linked back to individual users or original images.
- No Commercial Use: We will not use your uploaded images for commercial purposes, advertising, or share them with third parties without your explicit consent.
- AI Model Improvement: We may use anonymized, aggregated results and analysis data (not actual images) to improve our AI model accuracy, service quality, and user experience.
- Your Representations: You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to upload the images, (b) the images do not violate any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity), (c) the images do not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive content, and (d) you comply with all applicable laws when using our service.
- Image Deletion: You may request deletion of cached identification results by contacting us through our Contact Page.
5. Analytics and Tracking
By using our website, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Default Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) which is enabled by default when you visit our site to help us understand how users interact with our services and improve user experience.
